Hi there, welcome to Frontend Meditations. In this blog you’ll find topics related to frontend software development, the process of making online projects and other related areas like software engineering in general, UI/UX development, and, once in a while, unrelated topics that I feel might be relevant. I’ll write about my experiences in the field and you’ll probably find tutorials, overviews and opinion articles in here. Let’s see how it goes!
You might have noticed the blog’s name makes reference to “Meditations”. That’s a book written by Marcus Aurelius, a roman emperor and philosopher, recording to himself his perception and thoughts about different aspects of life for his own guidance and self-improvement. For Marcus, writing was a way to make himself humble, patient, empathetic, generous, and strong in the face of whatever he was dealing with. While I’m no expert in roman history, nor in philosophy, Meditations worked as an inspiration to start this blog, and so, the name and style followed and had to make reference to it!
While I hope writing this blog makes me more humble, patient, empathetic, generous and strong as a frontend developer, writer and person… if what I write here ends up helping you or any other readers, that would be quite a good start!
